Configure Google Workspace as a SAML IdP for Bytescale.
Google Workspace does not currently support request signing or response encryption. Do not enable these settings for this IdP in the Bytescale Dashboard.
In the Google Admin console, go to Apps → Web and mobile apps.
Click "Add app" → "Add custom SAML app".
Enter an app name and description, then continue.
Download the IdP metadata XML and continue.
Set the ACS URL and Entity ID using the values from the Bytescale SSO modal.
Set Name ID Format to Unspecified and Name ID to Primary email.
Add attribute mappings:
| App attribute | Value |
|---|---|
| http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/ws/2005/05/identity/claims/email | Primary email |
| http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/ws/2005/05/identity/claims/firstName | First name |
| http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/ws/2005/05/identity/claims/lastName | Last name |
Group membership is not required for Bytescale SSO.
Finish the app setup.
Paste the IdP metadata XML into the Bytescale SSO modal and save.
Verify each email domain by clicking it in the SSO IdP table.
Bytescale will not use your IdP until the domain is verified, and it will check the domain for up to 72 hours.
